1984 was a special year for Apple and its users. Steve Jobs introduced the world to a small Macintosh with a human face. For some it was a compass, for others it became an object of cult. Four decades later, we begin celebrating this anniversary. Special Macintosh events will be held throughout the year.
In April 2024, it will be 10 years since I set out on the path of history. That’s why this year is a good moment and an excuse to create something special. It will be a photographic album “Apple Atlas” presenting the history of a great, innovative brand, based on the example of the collections gathered at the Apple Museum Poland.
“Apple Atlas” will show the complex path paved by extraordinary people armed with progressive technology and vision. I encourage everyone to cooperate and support this project. Let’s keep the technological and intellectual legacy in mind!
The idea of publishing an album with original photos appeared a few years ago. However, I knew that I would have to wait for publication. Missing key artifacts must have appeared in the Apple Museum Polska collection. Apple Atlas is a large project that I plan to enclose in two volumes chronologically describing the history of the Cupertino brand. They will also include photos of unique exhibits from the private collections of our friends from all over the world.
Since the beginning of my private collection in 2014, I have devoted thousands of hours to searching for unique exhibits around the world. Many of them required repairs, with help from retro enthusiasts and volunteers. Over the years, I have photographed the collected exhibits, which has created enormous documentation.
The fund covering the costs of preparing and publishing the first volume of Apple Atlas will come from private collections, grants and the sale of original posters and gadgets. For this purpose, a gallery is being created to enable their purchase. We invite everyone who would like to co-create a publishing fund to the FUNDATOR'S PANEL with motivating benefits soon.
